In Indiana, Democrat Liz Watson defeated incumbent Republican Dan Burton for the seat he has held since 2002. Burton, the Chairman of the House Subcommittee on International Operations, was critical of the Obama Administration’s foreign policy in the past and Watson will likely bring a more aggressive voice to the Chamber of Commerce. In Texas, conservative Republican Pete Sessions will not return to Congress after being defeated in the primary by more conservative Steve Stockman. This will be a Democratic gain in what was the formerly the 12th District. And in Missouri, Democrat Stacey Abrams failed to win the Senate primary for the seat being vacated by Democrat Claire McCaskill. She
